GEAR TALK

The entire album was performed, recorded, mixed and mastered in my Hollywood apartment between January and March of 2001... whenever the nieghbors were all asleep or at work.

Very minimal equipment was used during the recording of this album. It was my intention to produce quality recording out of a basic bedroom project studio. I just had to make the best of what I've got, y'know. It was quite an experience as it was my first time to tackle a project of this proportion without any outside help whatsoever.

Anyway, in case you're curious, this is pretty much a complete list of all the things I used to make this album:an HP pentium III PC running Cakewalk Pro Audio 9.0, Antares Mic Modeler and T-racks 24 Analog Mastering software, an Ibanez RG470 electric, a Takamine Jasmine acoustic, a Yamaha Bass, a Boss drum machine, a Yamaha Digital Piano, assorted percussion instruments (thanks to my friend Dave DeLucca for letting me borrow them), a Shure SM58 microphone (on everything!), a SansAmp bass driver DI box, a fender tube amp, a Boss compressor & a Midiman mic preamp. Tracking and mixing reference was done using AKG K270 headphones exclusively!
